Dr Z
Hi Dr. Can you tell me if lot 73 was prepaid pass or $5 or a mixture of both?It was a mixture of both. I paid for a season pass there. I got there just before noon and the party was jumpin'If I had to give somebody $5, I'm not sure who I would give it to?!? I'm only guessing, but I think some parked for free. Can anybody verify? Maybe it was just because it was the first week?
zips89
Is lot 34 the lot that i was in? I'm confused. I was in the lot at the corner of Grant and Carroll, the one right to the west of the computer science building. That is lot 34. The 20 ft. beer bong and beer relays were in that lot. The University should release a parking map that that can be read.haha the beer relays was us. Im thinking about moving over to the grass lot (lot 73 i think) I did like the atmosphere in 34 though and kinda want to stick to something that is already familiar. But if lot 73 is grass, that could bring us back to the rubber bowl days and that would be awesome.
zips89
LOT 73 - was the fact that you needed to be a Z Fund member or a season ticket holder enforced? (did you have to display a parking permit or anything)

scottditzen
So weird, even the latest copy of the Buchtelite shows this as a $5 lot!!!! You could patent it, get Tommy Chong and Lindsay Lohan as spokes people and market it on QVC. Now that's a marketing idea and a bong we can all get behind one way or another. Reach for the sky! Dr Z
LOT 73 - was the fact that you needed to be a Z Fund member or a season ticket holder enforced? (did you have to display a parking permit or anything)I displayed my pass and saw many other passes displayed. I also saw parked cars that did not have a pass. If you wanted to park there, and didn't have a pass, I would try it this week and report back. Who knows, things may be different this week, they seemed (to their credit) be pretty relaxed with the "rules" last Saturday.

Phootss
We, myself - wife - and a friend who drove himself, tailgated in lot 34 after paying the attendants near West Market Street and getting spun around. We ended up at Lot 34, my first choice, and had a good time. UAPD was around but were just looking for trouble makers as they should. No problems...nice short walk up to the Info. All the concerns were for nothing.Wasn't the same as the Rubber Bowl...but that is a good thing too!
ZachTheZip
Does anybody know what time the gates are opening for the game? Don't want to be late and miss my opportunity to sit on the grass berm (It will be open from the beginning this time)
RowdyZip
FYI...lot 9 pass holders. We were told the lot won't be open until 10:30 or 11:00 due to a "lack of parking personnel." Tell me why you would leave one of the main season ticket holder lots as a last priority? Good Lord...after no hiccups last week, this sure is a good way to start off week two. akronad
Did I miss something this week? I thought the lots would not open until 4 hours prior to the kick-off, which this week would mean 11:30. If i'm wrong let me know. We are all packed and all I have to do is get ice. RowdyZip
Well...we were set up in lot 9 at 8am last week, and they let us in at 8:30 now. Come have a cold one!
akronad
Thanks. I just need to change into game day clothes and get ice, then we're on our way.
