zff
I was reading another message board and somebody was talking about Brandon Foust. He is a 6-6 211 small forward at Oklahoma. He left the team at the beginning of the year after getting into some trouble. Rumor has it he is enolled at Akron and will be ale to play this year starting in Jan. He is from Columbus Brookhaven highschool s othis story could be true. Do anybody know anything about this young man???
zipboy
The Brookhaven PG, Antoine Lavendar who I think started at PG for Oklahoma transferred to another school. That may lend more support to Foust leaving as well if his high school teammate transferred.
Z.I.P.
Hooweee! I can't add anything concrete about the likelihood of Brandon Foust becoming a Zip, but believe me, if it happens this is the biggest news of the year in Akron basketball. Foust was a top 50 national recruit out of Brookhaven (he decided to transfer before Lavender). Only averaged about 4 pts his first season under Kelvin Sampson, but the last 10 games I think he got over 10 ppg and >5rpg. Put him with Nick and Romeo, JWood and the incoming group and Akron belongs in a new league, the MAC won't be able to keep up with us. Hooweee! zip37
Saw a player looking guy at JAR today, face not familiar but he reeked ATHLETE, maybe it was he, he was with Nick Dials, who was looking good-- no limp no favoring of injured knee. With ball ammunition lock and load.

GP1
Wouldn't he have to sit out a full season if he played all of last year?
scottz06
Basketball times web site shows he is on the list of transfers eligible for the 2005-06 season. They don't say where he is transfering to. http://www.basketballtimes.com/come_go03-2005.htm
Captain Kangaroo
Wouldn't he have to sit out a full season if he played all of last year? No. His last game was December 8th, 2004. He'll be eligible after the fall semester ends.

zip37
That BT list must be rather old-- whaley has already played for Walsh, used up eligibility led them to National Championship (NAIA Div. II) and now in NBA. With ball ammunition lock and load>
msopher
Sounds like the addition of Foust would be huge for Akron.
Captain Kangaroo
Sounds like the addition of Foust would be huge for Akron. I agree. Especially with Wood coming off the ACL rehab. If Foust isn't any good, I can always refurbish and modify my "Oust Faust" banner (circa. 1990) and use it at the JAR! It's a win/win! Z.I.P.
Here is his pic. THIS HINT: I don't have any inside info (for that you need to ask Ratfink), but someone may wish to post a shot of 6-5 recruit Jimmy Conyers to compare with Foust's mug. I hear Conyers is (also?) in town.

RACER
there is poster on the mac board that said the transfer is just a rumor. does anyone know what the real deal is? why wouldn't go zips.com have said something about this? as for dials as long as he's back sometime into the mac season that be great. we need everyone healthy for tourney time. we saw what happened to buffalo last year. unfortunatley for the mac it seems the regular season does not mean much. zff
All I am going to say about this is if one of the Mod's post some information it is true. We will not and do not post rumors.......... As far as gozips.com not having an article about it I can not answer that.
GP1
I have a whitish background on this page now. Am I the only one that has it? It is very difficult to read white lettering over it.

Kangaroo Craig
I am sure that you all noticed that the Basketball times list for 2006 - 7 shows that Can't loses Cutley, arguably their best player, and Demetrius Johnson. Could this be the end of their run and the begining of ours? I sure hope so!
