psc2009
The Irish, who for so many years were too good to play MAC teams, are going to play the Broncos next season. It's the first time since the MAC was formed that ND will play a MAC team. Now, we need to get Akron a game against ND. The last time the two teams met was in 1910.http://themacdaily.com/index.php?news&nid=
UA Fan
yeah, but there's no joy in it until we get our own house in order.
RootforRoo44
Here's something Notre Dame related. Fire JD and bring in Lou Holtz. There is not one bad thing that could come of that. Not to mention Holtz is a household name that would bring instant credibility to our program. Imagine the recruits we would get just because of it's Lou Holtz. Let him sign a 2 year contract and pass the reigns to someone else after a few years, a protege of his choice.
GP1
Now, we need to get Akron a game against ND.Why? It would be a guaranteed loss. Just because WMU does it, it doesn't mean we should do it. Is ND going to go to Kalamazoo to play?
dreal1scout
Man I would fly to UA or ND in a heartbet to see the Zips play the Irish. I think for sure, whatever the outcome, (and Yes, I think we would at least cover the spread!) it would only be a positive for UA (sell-out/standing room only crowd at InfoCision). Every kid wants to play against ND or USC. I know I would. I love being the underdog. If it were to happen in the next 2 seasons, I think we could at least give them a scare.btw, I am a fan of ND (2nd only to the ZIPS), and out here in So. Cal. one often hears about a particular boxer (oscar de la hoya) being referred to as the "Golden Boy". But I gotta say the only real Golden Boy that I've seen is Mr. Golden Tate of ND. But, I firmly believe that the Zips will have a few of their own Golden Boys soon. Got to keep the faith. We are down, but not out. Let all the Oscars out there throw their best punch. You know Roos can box too! We Will Kick Some Asses - sooner than later.GO ZIPS!!

Though the Mayan calendar also showed us playing OSU at the Q on 12/15/2011 so take that for what it's worth.

The Mayans certainly had more favor with Kukulkan (Quetzalcoatl) (the great feathered serpent god) than the Incans ever did.
