Z.I.P.
I'm in agreement that JD had the team ready to play on Saturday. And I thank him for that as well (and nary a rugby punt.....yes!!!)In relayed news, the "other" head coach in the 2005 Motor City Bowl has apparently been let go by Memphis (ESPN Link). Western Kentucky's coach is out now too. The carousel has begun.ESPN LinkOK, I thought I heard on this board that schools don't fire their coaches during the season...(?)What it means is, the run to the front of the coaching line-up has begun. Memphis wants to be first in line. Where does Akron want to be? Hey, JD, you might have to win Friday -- just to still be around in another week! fear the brown roo
one step forward vs. Can't state, ten steps back vs. temple. whatever happened to "violently defending our home"? that looked like france violently defending themselves against the nazis in 1940. MDZip
Is there any way we could change the title of this thread so it looks sarcastic now?
Spin
It'll be interesting to see what happens here. A lot of the problems weren't his doing. And he did bring in these guys with nothing but a toilet bowl to show as a stadium. His recruiting class this year isn't too shabby.I don't know if he gets fired. And I don't know how I feel about that. If he can get rid of the gimmicky defensive formation, and bring back the gunslinger offense he had when the team was winning, I think I'm OK with that. Part of me want to see who he can bring in, having the Info and everything else to sell to these guys. But none of me wants to see the 3-3-5 as a base defense ever again... But don't expect a whole lot of support from this board!
