Zipsrifle
Glad to see this. I think he's a great back and deserves the national attention. Click Me
AK-Zips
not so fast my friend..... do not be too surprised to see kennedy getting more and mre carries as the season wears on. our d-line next year is going to be disgusting (that's a good thing) will fergy push getsy this year? all in all our team is very even around every position that does not have eligibility issues. Biggs deserves all that he gets. He is a great kid and has worked hard for everything he has received. here is to knocking off Purdue on their home turf and putting a shiver and scare in head of every coach in the MAC! (then i woke up)
Zips fan
I am not ruling out a win a Purdue. We have not played the game and upsets occur. I know that we were not clicking during last years OOC schedule but we finished strong. As the players get more accustomed to the system, we should be off to a better start. I know that we will be big underdogs going into the game but Akron shouldn't go into any game with a defeated attitude! We can defeat any team on any night if things go our way! Zipsrifle
not so fast my friend..... do not be too surprised to see kennedy getting more and mre carries as the season wears on. Oh, I know Kennedy will get a lot of carries. I was just really impressed with how Biggs came out and did so well last year. We know he's great, but it's nice to see him get more attention. Obviously with Kennedy getting carries, Biggs won't put up the numbers, but having 2 good backs can only help us get more wins, and that's what's most important. As far as Purdue, we may have a chance, but it's pretty slim. Under JD we were able to compete against the teams near our level, but we got BLASTED against PSU, Virginia, and NIU last year. That's not a good track record. If we can keep this game reasonable, then I'll be happy. New line, New QB, Freshman starting (possibly?) against an experienced Big Ten team that expects to go undefeated, it will be rough next week. JD's stock will go up in my book if we keep it close. If it is a blowout, then it looks like JD might have a hard time against big time teams.
Captain Kangaroo
If it is a blowout, then it looks like JD might have a hard time against big time teams. Think the Zips can hold them below 35 points in the first quarter? Sincerely, Lee Owens
RACER
not trying to be negative, but from everything ive read purdue is going to be loaded. i don't think this game will be a good indicator of how good of a team we can be. the first game with a new qb and o-line,and i would be happy for the team to just play well.if we can win one of the first three games we have a good chance for a winninng season. go akron.
