Captain Kangaroo Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Foust...the kid from Oklahoma...will NOT be a Zip this fall. Something fell through...I don't know the specifics. Dials' rehab is ahead of Wood's. Conyers is on campus and ready to play in 2005-6. He looks every bit the athlete we hoped. Had a credible performance in some on-campus practices vs. LeBron a few weeks ago, I hear? Quote
AK-Zips Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Foust found out what a stud front line we have and new his playing time would not be what he expected coming to Akron. He did get accpeted and was in the process of scheduling classes and then he watched some of the guys play and after talking to assistant coach he decided this would be the best fit for him and his future. Conyers is indeed a stud, j-wood better get his aaaaaaaaass in gear and start BSing his way throguh rehab. Come on big man step it up! Quote

I don't think our front line is that scary at all-- If Foust was everything that was advertised, he would have had no problem seeing some serious playing time. I'm concerned our front line doe not match up at all with Ohio and Miami -- Unless we are running up and down the court staying out of the post/half court/rebounding game, we will struggle. We need another big body bad to really start talking about this season's possibilities. I think this is a big step backward (If the kid could play..). Must have been something else and we decided the guy wasn't the right fit for the team. Futch for Three !!?!?!??!?!?! Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 Wonder if Milum has put on any weight? Quote
Z-Pouch Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Wonder if Milum has put on any weight? Up 3lbs to 178 and really becoming a banger/enforcer under the boards. Foust had no chance in th pickup game, might be out of basketball completely after that beating. Quote
