So we'll have another "reunion" of sorts next year. I wonder how much his trip to Syracuse in 2008 influenced his decision. If I recall, he's from the Johnstown, PA area. UA Fan
Kind of shocking to see another football program get dropped, even if it's a FCS/Hofstra. Their Colonial conference mates Northeastern did the same a couple weeks ago. Maybe a few good players will trickle up to the MAC with fewer FCS choices.See http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/college/...03_hofstra.html"The cost of the football program, now and in the future, far exceeds the return possible from an FCS program which does not generate significant national interest," Rabinowitz said. Citing a general lack of interest and support from students and alumni, along with the desire to redirect funds toward enhancing the school's academic programs, Hofstra announced yesterday it is dropping its football program effective immediately. That could apply to a lot of schools.I don't know what the Colonial plans to do about the football vacancies.North New Hampshire 6-2 10-3 Maine 4-4 5-6 Hofstra 3-5 5-6 Massachusetts 3-5 5-6 Northeastern 3-5 3-8 Rhode Island 0-8 1-10 South Villanova 7-1 14-1 Richmond 7-1 11-2 William & Mary 6-2 11-3 Delaware 4-4 6-5 James Madison 4-4 6-5 Towson

TexanMark
Here is an article from his hometown paper. As a Cuse fan we are looking forward to him coming. Not sure if he'll be a starter but should be at least 2nd string. Hopefully you don't rag him too bad in September. Jose Cruz

His weight could swing 40lbs over a given season. 245...then 205. He dropped a high percentage of balls tossed his way.I am surprised he still wants to play ball. We'll see if he sticks it out over summer camp.

We'll see if he sticks it out over summer camp. Our new coach Doug Marrone is very demanding..he shed alot of the weak sisters of the team. We basically had 55 scholarship kids by season's end after defections/injuries. He actually had a few JUCOs/transfers leave in tears after a few days of preseason practice.I'll be at the game in Infocision in September. I expect to set up a tailgate for 15-20 SU fans.
