GJGood
Congrats to LeVon. This is truly just about the top accomplishement possible for a non-scholarship major college football player. LeVon's story is one of overcoming many obstacles and getting himself turned around as well. It is also worth mentioning how hard of a worker he has to be, holding three jobs, a class schedule and being a college football player. On a personal note, I am particularly pleased that he won because I have a good idea of where he comes from. While I did not have nearly as many trials and tribulations as he had early in life, I am not only an Akron alum but also an alum of Brookhaven High School in Columbus, which is where Levon also attended.I know that the Brookhaven community is every bit as proud of what Mr. Morefield has been able to accomplish as those around the Zips program are.Congrats again Levon! Captain Kangaroo
Congrats to Levon! What a great representative of The University of Akron!I look forward to all the ZN posters who bemoaned our "out of control" football program in September stepping forward and, with the same number of keystrokes, acknowledging what an outstanding representative of the UA Program this particular kid is. jaycevs
If we had a kid that was this hard working, doing anything asked of him, why couldn't JD have found a scholarship for him at some point?
