Lady Zips vs. BGSU on 2/20

I know a lot of you aren't real fans of watching women's basketball just isn't as entertaining as men's basketball, but this team really needs the whole zips family and fans to come out to this game. The winner will be First place in the MAC East and will likely get the #2 seed in the MAC Tournament.Come out and support the Lady Zips on Feburary 20th at 2pm. Tickets are $6.00 for Adults, and $4.00 for Youth(3-17). Bowling Green is 10-2 MAC, while Akron is 9-3 in MAC...Can't State is also one game behind the Zips so this game is crucial to keep a game lead over them before Feb. 24th matchup at the MACC Center. Could that rather portly young gentleman Rowdy who popped up from behind the basket to do the twisty wiggly dance (painted blue with no shirt) during an opponent lady's foul shot last year be present this Saturday. You know who you are (sandy hair with glasses - I saw you in the Can't State white-out video). The shooter doubled over laughing and missed the foul shot. WE WILL NEED THAT POINT ON SATURDAY.P.S. BG's studette Lauren Postastico should be the target. Would the young gentleman grace us with his presence on Saturday ?

This game is important on many levels. A win puts us in charge of the MAC East, gives the team confidence, ends years of being insulted by BG fans and coaches, and sends a message to the MAC that our team is legitimate.If you only go to one women's basketball game this year, make it this one. You'll get a chance to sit in the reserved section, if you don't normally, because seating is first-come first-served for women's games. The games are no longer unwatchable. The team plays great defense and has a strong inside-out style offense and uses lots of fast breaks.Hopefully they can show the Bracketbuster on the TV in the Tommy Evans Lounge.

I can't believe these words are actually being typed on this board....and they are true.I'm simply amazed at the job JK has done at UofA. Hats off to Mack as well for sticking with her when it would have been easy to fire her. Someone in the know should put her down for a raise.

Haven't been to a women's game yet this year but I'm definitely in for 2. Looking forward to it!Hey Tom Wistrcil - figure out a way to distract the union long enough to have one of the grad students connect the cable feed into the scoreboard video system so everyone can hang around and watch the men's game at VCU. Lord knows it'll cost an arm and a leg and take weeks to get the work order approved, funded, and completed. Should have been done L-O-N-G ago.

Game day!Thanks to some bad scheduling by the MAC, the next game is on Wednesday at Can't, at the exact same time as the men's game against Buffalo on FSO. I'm torn on which one to go to. Both are huge games.
