Buckzip Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 According to quotes from KD inthe BJ, Wood could miss this season too. He is recovering too slow from his injury. I wonder if he would get a rare 6th year of elegibility. He missed most of last year, and if he missed all of this year, would he still be a Soph, next year? It will take him a while to get back into when he does return. Ouch, he was going to be good. Quote
AK-Zips Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 He will not miss the season! He was sophmore status last year, so he would be a junior in his next year of eligibility anyway. Whether it is this year or next he will be a of junior status. the only way possible is to get a redshirt for him this season in which case he would be a redshirt junior next year. Would this not be correct? Quote
Hilltopper Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 All I can say is I TOLD YOU SO! A week ago people on this board were saying that Wood looked fine at the opening night preview and all would be well in Zipland and with the BB team. All along I told you guys that Wood was dogging it and not doing his rehab. I think Dambrots statements at the MAC media day are a way to send a message to Wood, either shape up or ship out. With this coach its all about the TEAM! If you don't want to work you won't play. Quote
zipboy Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 I have not seen any updates on gozips.com yet. Other questions that I have 1. is Middleton, Dials or someone else looking viable as the backup PG to give Dru some rest? 2. Did everyone except Wood come into camp in shape? 3. How are the FR looking? Is Connyers a go or no go this year? 4. Did Preston and Milum add any weight? 5. How is Peterson's knee? It seemed like he still had bad days last year? Can he stand the rigors of a full season? 6. When will Dials legitimately be ready to play? 7. With more depth, do we play more up tempo this year and press more as KD likes? Quote
Hilltopper Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 I would look to Sallee or Sowers to backup Dru until Dials is ready to go. Dials is much further along on his rehab than Wood. If there are no setbacks he could be a big factor this season. Someone with a dependable 3-point shot would really help. Preston looks the same and Millum looks like he gained a few pounds. I think that Conyers is having transcript problems similar to what happen to Jason Taylor when he first enrolled. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon. Quote
