Recommended Posts

NOW No. 1 Akron (16-0-1, 5-0-0 Mid-American Conference)

We won a close game to Kentucky this afternoon 1-0. Great atmosphere, almost 1,300 in the crowd, and i loved the kids halloween contest theme for halftime! Great job UAM!

Has there ever been a team go the entire regular seaon without any losses? Out last game is @ Indiana on Thursday. Start time 7:00!

Go zips! FEAR THE ROO!

Original Fear - Click Me

I like the Roo thing. The shirts looked good at the soccer game. I think in general, the "sinister" roo was what a lot of us expected when the new logo was introduced a couple years ago.

Local knowledge of University of Maryland marketing and athletics is almost non-existant, so the "Fear the ..." theme is probably a good one to "borrow."

As you can see from the Maryland site, you can take the "Fear the..." campaign as far as you'd like. Maryland people have bought into it 100%. It is a big hit.

Looking at Gozips.com, and this last game against Indiana is HUGE! Indiana has lost only one game and Akron has never won at Indiana. I know that the Zips are feeling this one and will come out fired up. Good luck Zips, Lets get our first win at Indiana and start out the Tourney run on a high note!
