Your link and this one both say he will be a defensive end.

Sorry...I must be misinterpreting this quote (below). My mistake:

"I think his coach at Akron wants to move him to a stand-up linebacker,'' Frashier said. "When I talked to his [high school] coach, I said, 'Well, we're looking at him to put his hand down.' And he said that's what Akron wanted him to do, but [the Zips] have holes at linebacker so that's where they're going to put him."

We have holes at linebacker now? Our strongest position by far on defense? We're in more trouble than I thought if that's what our coaches believe.

i blame the left-wing media for fudging up these quotes

After watching our defense last year, IMHO, there isn't a spot (DL, LB, S, DB) that we don't have holes. This defensive unit has the potential to "make" our season. When I start seeing, tight coverage, QB sacks, stuffed runs, turnovers, three and outs on a consistent basis, I will reevaluate. I read a good article in the Post Gazette the other day that reminded me of the Zips. The gist of it was Polamalu claiming that last years pass happy Steeler offense was hurting their defense by not giving the defense a good rest so they could play at a high intensity level. Hopefully the Zips new pro style offense will be able to provide some clock eating drives so that our defense will be well rested and be playing at a high intensity level.
