Captain Kangaroo
...should BG beat Miami, and the Zips win-out, the failed 4th quarter first-and-goal at the Ball State 1 yard line would place us exactly three feet short of making the MAC Championship game. Three more stinkin' feet.

Three more stinkin' feet. How about three quarters short? Two the second half of CMU and the first quarter of BSU.

Three more stinkin' feet. Wow cap'n, good point. I don't think it should depend on us winning out and BG beating Miami, that was the motto for this season! We had pleanty of chances to find that gold, but just didn't get it done. Now, someone else will strike it rich.

Three more stinkin' feet. Capn' Please don't put us in the same boat as the Cubs fans. It wasn't just 3', it was a whole lot of things including a young team. I still believe this is a rebuilding year and our exagerated up and down trend reaffirms it. Just a long as we beat Can't!

I didn't mention anything regarding Cubs fans. I only mentioned the irony of the team's "Three More Feet" motto and the goal line situation this past Saturday. Say what you want about any other facet of the team or the season, but if BG beats Miami and we win out, those three more feet would have taken us to the MAC Championship. Ironic...prophetic...a little of both?
grice
Let's not over look the final games of the MAC regular season when UA-Can't State, OU-Miami and BG-Toledo compete. These rivalry games will shake out the final MAC East standings.
Buckzip
Less than that kept Tennessee out of the super bowl a few years back. Irony is ironic.
