Wagner Gets Some Pub

While I've been one to say I expect smaller numbers out of him this year (not necessarily meaning he'll be less effective), Wagner gets some early recognition at Zach's favorite web site.

I'm not exactly sure how much talent is on this team, but it is sure nice to see some love from the media at large.

It would be so so great to finally have our defense be an intimidating presence instead of the past few years of getting bowled over.

Beat me to the punch JZ84, I was just about to put a thread up about Wagner.

Rasor went to practice and got some quotes from some players. Wagner was quoted saying, "We just need to win". He uses the word "need" not "want". I love that. There are things I want to do that I never do. There are things I need to do I get done. Everyone puts more focus on the things they need to do and less on what they want to do. It tells me this team is focused on winning.

I'll say it again. This team is not short on talent or hard work. The had a talented team last year that worked hard in a hopeless situation. The focus on winning is something they badly need.

That one quote alone has me more excited about this upcoming season than anything I have seen thus far. They can be a good team THIS YEAR.
