However, it starts to DEVALUE my $155 season ticket package (+$50 for parking) for the family section. Slippery slope you start heading down here... Now, granted...I can't imagine they won't do SOMETHING for season ticket holders. At the very least, I expect they will send some free tix for the Buffalo game. However, I would prefer perhaps a $15-20 gift card (valid on game day only) to the new team shop and/or a $10 food voucher. Something that keeps me going there through the potentially brutal season. GoZips88 Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 My family pack was devalued long ago. No worries here - butts in seats BUT PLEASE include a warning with the ticket 4-pack: "What you are about to witness may not be suitable for ..." Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 GOZIPS.com 4 Lower Reserved Tickets, Parking Pass, $10 food voucher = $60 I think that is hard to complain about. My complaint would be that anyone who ever attended a Zips game knew that Zips tickets were priced too high for the typical family of 4, and that GA tickets were also priced too high to get any sort of a decent walk-up crowd. Several of my friends have young families of 5. $100 bucks to watch the Zips get mauled by Syracuse (plus food, parking, etc) is simply too much. Especially when we suck. YouTube Tom went into this season thinking he could treat Akron fans like they were getting a Big 10 product (I actually have an email to prove this). 1/3rd of the way through the home season, they are realizing what everyone has known for years - they are selling a MAC product. And presently, a bad one. G-Mann - weren't you the one to ridicule my "Buck-a-Roo Night?" How is this promotion any different? I told them 6 months ago they'd need to do something like this to get butts in the seats. Once again, ZipsNation knows more than the AD. Quote
xu9697 Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Time to sell some beer (to the "masses") at the Info!!!! Just found out BG sells beer at Doyt. Quote

That is a very good deal, BUT...I dont think I could round up 3 other people to go! I have a hard time finding one other person to go. And I completely echo the beer sentiment. The beer garden at the Rubber Bowl was a great addition. Quote

The difference is, they are "selling" a value, not giving it away. They are basically charging GA price for Reserved seating, and throwing in parking. 1 game 4 tickets, 60 dollars. It's $90 for a family plan for the season. This is a far cry from what your suggestion was. Quote

Is it flexible based on mood swings of the AD/Ticketing Department?!?!?! Quote
GP1 Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 GOZIPS.com 4 Lower Reserved Tickets, Parking Pass, $10 food voucher = $60 I think that is hard to complain about. The only complaint I would have is the reserved seats. The way I see it, this is about $20 off the value of four tickets (ga), parking pass and $10 in food. That's a 25% discount. Feeding kids (assume 2) at a football game costs a heck of a lot more than $10.....especially if they are teenage boys. They make the $20 back in food sales. Parking? Who cares, the lots are there and people are hired to man them so you my as well use them. Right now, the ticket costs are too high for what the Zips offer. Just don't discount reserved tickets. The worse thing to happen now is someone buying the 4-pack of tickets, goes to the game and the Zips play bad. They might never come back at any cost.... Quote
