Magnus
I have to admit as a Viking fan I am glad that we are playing you guys and Can't St. this season. I love the regionalism and to be honest this should become a home and home series every year. The match-up between Akron and CSU will be a great one. This should be a real tight game. CSU is facing some injuries and will be without G Anthony Wells and F D'Aundray Brown. The loss of Brown will hurt us big time because he is such a fantastic defender (he gave Haywood fits last year). Brown will not return until mid December. Cleveland State will put the ball in the basket this season. They have scorers and all eyes better be on Norris Cole. Cole is one of the best guards in THE NATION and could easily go off for 40 on any given night. If the Vikes defend Akron has little chance. That is a big IF! I saw the Zips play two games last year and I was not impressed with either (a loss to Can't at the JAR, and a loss to OU at the Q). Although, I know you are a better team now than back then. Because of home court I give you guys a slight edge. Hopefully, the crowd will be a good one. I am sure they will give Waters a real warm reception. The Hip Zip
I am sure they will give Waters a real warm reception. I like Waters and respect him as a quality coach. Besides that he had the good sense to get out of Can't. I also agree that a home & home with the Vikes would be a good draw. I know that I would attend both games. A flake with an ego the size of Toledo. We'll be waiting for his over stuffed sausage face. Waters is a total slime ball.

First of all, I never said the Zips suck as a matter of fact, I think the Zips narrowly beat the Vikes in this upcoming matchup. Secondly, Waters has proven to be a class guy during his time at Can't St. and Cleveland State, so to call him a "over stuffed sausage face/ slime ball" is a bit juvenile. scottditzen
Welcome to ZN Magnus. A lot of people are looking forward to a renewed CSU/Akron rivalry. You guys were very very impressive at the WVU game last year- was glad to catch that one! I gotta say, being a Horizon team, I really think you guys are seriously missing out on the Tournament at the Q. Great great atmosphere. For me it's definitely highlight of the season. I enjoy talking college hoops. Honestly, I never see the Horizon League tournament coming to the Q. The Horizon has always rewarded the conference champion with home court throughout the tournament and I think its a great idea. By doing this the Horizon, have given more value to the regular season than those conferences that play their championship at a neutral site. Sorry about the soccer game yesterday. They won't even make the tourney, and prob won't even finish above .500. The game meant nothing to us, so if any we should be glad the loss came now and not when it really mattered!
