masszip Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Nice work Jimmy, a few picks ahead of Bassett from OU http://www.nba.com/dleague/draft_2010.html Quote
Dr Z Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Scroll down that page, and click on ROUND 8 to see Jimmy's name. 2nd pick. I don't understand too much about D league. How does 12 year pro Antonio Daniels get picked? (Round 2, 13th pick) He is in my top three dunks I have ever seen at the JAR. Quote
skip-zip Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 It appears Bassett's hopes of leaving OU to play in the NBA are pretty remote. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Nice! Jimmy in Erie. Me and the boy will drive up for that. Make the team Jimmy! B) Go Zips! Quote
Roo2 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Plus, Nate Linhart is in the Erie camp as a free agent tryout invitee. A long shot, but it would be cool to have both Linhart and Conyers make the team. Quote

Things didn't work out to well for Jimmy the last time he had to battle Nate for playing time. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Congrats to Jimmy. Make the team, I know you got it in you. Also, Chris McKnight is playing for a team in Sweden this season. Quote

cms133@uakron.edu Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Would they even be battling each other for the same position? I doubt he would still be used as a small forward at 6'5'' in the D-League... Quote
The Hip Zip Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Good to hear. I think that Jimmy has the game to play in Europe if this doesn't work out. Chris knew that his best chance to keep playing was to head over there so Im really glad to see that he's found a spot. Anybody know how Romeo is doing ? Those guys in Europe make some pretty nice money as well. I dont know what the D league pays ??? Quote
Dr Z Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 I dont know what the D league pays ???Salaries in the development league range from $12,000 to $24,000 a season, paid in part by money from the NBA. source Quote
