ZachTheZip Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I noticed that for the second straight year Butler has been awarded a seed, but will play on the road to open the tournament. Quote

Z.I.P. Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Xavier up 2-0 on WVU after an own goal. less than 5 minutes in. Xavier is probably the better team here -- not sure how they were put on the road. They have the frosh player from Jackson HS, and of course, it's Korb's original school, so some local interest -- assuming they're our first opponent on the Tour de Five. Just remember, one team, one goal Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Wow. WVU ties it up already. 2-2 in 32nd minute. Quote
ejcool27 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 and west Virgina ties it at 2! Quote
GoZips88 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 WVU ties it at 2-2 with 12:12 left in 1st half. WVU has controlled most of the play following the two early goals by X. Quote

jem101 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 WVU up 3-2 with a little over 10 left. WVU with two guys with yellows. Do FIFA rules apply with getting red cards? Would one of the WVU guys be out against Akron if they picked up another yellow? Quote

Would one of the WVU guys be out against Akron if they picked up another yellow? The rule applies in the regular season so i would think so. btw 4-2 WVU now...looks like the Mountaineers are coming to Akron. Another thing: The guy with the ponytail is going to get an EARFUL from the Rowdies Sunday. Quote
GoZips Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 West Virginia now up 4-2 with under 20 to play. Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 The announcer for this game just called Akron the "reigning national champion" for the second time. That sounds pretty good, let's make him right this year! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 If we're the reigning champs, then Butler won the Big Dance. Both games were about as close. Quote

MDZip Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 So much for the vaunted ACC. BC and Virginia both go down and Duke squeaks by Coastal Carolina. Hope this trend continues. Quote
