UAZip0510
I'm guessing UA will honor the team before or at halftime of an upcoming men's basketball game, and here's hoping that they wait. Don't do it when we play Bethune-Cookman, or another mediocre team that won't draw many fans. Wait for the sell out, energetic crowd that will surely be there for the Can't State game, and let these guys have the raucous standing ovation that they deserve. skip-zip
Absolutely. Not only would it gives these guys the praise they've earned, but it will make the Ken+ fans have to sit through it.
GoZips88
Definitely should wait until classes are back in session. I'd even go so far as to say they don't need another UA sports event to supply a crowd. 800-1000 turned out for the send-off. Holding up a National Championship trophy for all to see is deserving of an event all its own.
Valpo Zip
Absolutely not in a Basketball game. Do you want to celebrate a national championship in 4 minutes where most fans are in the restrooms? This deserves its own event. Also, are the champions going to be welcomed at the airport like they deserve?

Also, are the champions going to be welcomed at the airport like they deserve? 1.) I doubt any fans would head to the bathroom if the soccer team were being honored. 2.) Is CLE Hopkins open today? I think it would be a good idea to honor them at the Bethune Cookman game, only because it would help the basketball attendance dramatically. That said, that's a bad reason to do it. The soccer team needs it's own recognition event. Plan on 1,000 attending. Hold it in the InfoCision tower, and do it right. No cold pizza and chicken wing buffet on the JAR floor. The players are returning on the red eye tonight and I believe will be in Cleveland around 7 tomorrow morning.

RootforRoo44
A group of people along with me will be welcoming the team back when they get back to the U tomorrow morning. People should come to that. Also, why have a simple event? Why not a real parade like they deserve?

zips4ever2008
I would love to welcome the team back. I just don't know about this weather. Can't they arrive when there isn't a winter storm. Wish them a safe flight back. The team does deserve a parade or something big like that. An honor during halftime of a men's baseketball game is ok but I feel they deserve something bigger. They could get an honor at a Cavs game, but either people won't show up or show up but then leave after they get honored. It's too bad the Cavs are struggling because the Q could have been full of people. They could have shown highlights on the jumbotron. Thanks LeBron. Either way, there needs to be a celebration for the Zips soccer team.
