Our last appearance at Anderson Arena. I always liked the place and have many fond memories of watching the Zips and the Falcons play there. Many of the younger guys here may be unaware of some of the great BG teams of the past but that place really rocked. They used to have great support from the students and filled it to the rafters. Those screaming kids were actually so close to the action that the front row could actually reach out and touch the players as they ran up and down. It was a really tough place for a visiting team to try to steal a win. If memory serves, I believe that BG and Anderson Arena actually graced a Sports Illustrated cover back in the late 80's or early 90s. There was a really nice piece in the mag about how tough the MAC was and it was true. Man, have times changed,

Its much more subdued place now and the student support has greatly diminished. Last year, I think we were louder than the BG fans. Phil McKnight was funny as hell that day as he had an ongoing chat across the floor with some BG fans.

Anyways, I just love the feel of some of the remaining old gyms from the past and I will miss Anderson Arena just as I missed Memorial Hall back in the day.

Lots of great memories..............

Might be the best half Akron has played this year.

At the half: 41-23 Zips. We need to win this by 40, send notice to the rest of the East.

I'm starting to believe in Keith Dambrot's team. With tongue in cheek, I think they can now climb up to my 4th place pre-season prediction. :P But, I'll be watching the regular-season finale on ESPN2 with the hope it can still be for the regular season crown. Go Zips! P.S., can we petition the MAC to play @BG (Anderson Arena i.e.), at least twice a year?

Zeke is having a GREAT game. Blocked shots, interfered with shots. He had a steal!!!!

And he got down the floor in front of a fast break by McNees went hog and missed the shot.

The one jumper he hit looked PRO!

Watching the $7 feed and it is damn good. Way better than anything on ZipsZone.

The commentators keep comparing Zeke to Wilt Chamberlain.

AA is going to be a great player. Maybe DB Cooper caliber next year.

And Diggs showed an amazing athletic move to the basket.

We can't be as bad as our record.

Only negative, the Zips are apparently playing 8 on 5 the rest of the game as the refs are blowing everything against Akron right now. Zeke, Nikola, Bardo and McKnight all with 3 fouls right now. Only problem is that at this point it isn't going to matter because by the time our guys start fouling out it will be time for KD to clear the benchs anyways.

You think Alex Abreu might jump out of an airplane with a bunch of money and never be heard from again? That's one wild-assed prediction. :)

Think everybody is in a good mood tonight. Could the dream of another 20 win season and five straight MACC still be alive?

The way the Zips are playing tonight that should be at LEAST the goal.

So put Egner and Euton in for a few minutes. Or maybe that really skinny kid. We have tons of talented bigs sitting on the bench. They would probably all be starters for BG.

The way BG is playing I could start for them.

What is the worst thing that could happen - they would be down 30 points?
