Ando
Re: Wahl, the article he wrote describing his run for the presidency of FIFA is easily one of the best 10 pieces of sports journalism I've ever read

Zip_ME87
Grant Wahl with an excellent story on Steve-O's way back I read similar accounts in Steve's blog, but thanks for posting this. I'm hoping somehow, some way, Steve will be able to be on the field by May 23rd. I don't know how I'm going to get a ticket, but I arrive in Seattle that day to begin an Alaska cruise on the 25th. The Sounders just happen to be home to play the Columbus Crew on the night of May 23rd. Even if Steve isn't playing, I don't want to pass up the opportunity to experience a Sounders home game. You won't want to miss the opportunity. Try to arrive early for the parade! Awesome experience -- Oh, and one more thing: Don't miss out on the Mexican torta (sandwich) truck in front of the stadium. Comida fantistica.
Crew8
Steve played 40 minutes in a Sounders inter scrimmage today. Steve's older brother Gabriel who plays central defender for Peterborough United, an English League Championship club. I happened to stumble across this article today. Zakuani scoops top ET Sports Awards. Gabriel is really making a name for himself to Posh fans as a player and off the field.
Ando
Gabby's a good twitter follow. Totally different type of player than his brother in that he's a Stoke supporter and says things like "should have gone in with studs up on that one" all the time

johnnyzip84
Steve-O gets 1st start for 1st team since injury against FC Dallas tonight He's even got an assist already in the 1st half (1-1). Welcome back, Steve!!! Edit: sorry, Bobby I didn't see that you had already provided this information in another thread.
Z.I.P.
Sorry for the delay, but I saw Steve start his first MLS game since April of 2011 on Saturday versus Chivas USA in Seattle's hard-fought win (televised on Fox West Prime Ticket). Strangely enough, it was a collision between Steve and Chivas starting central mid Ben Zemanski in the right alley 15-20 yards from goal which resulted in the free-kick that tied the score at 1-1 late in the first half after Chivas had been dominating a slow-starting Sounders ballclub. Steve was subbed early in the second half by Sigi Schmidt, but was looking sound (as Sounders should) throughout his first half time. Ben started for the first time since the Shalrie Joseph trade and played 90 minutes, but the 4-6 weeks off told, as he mistimed several balls and did not look like the same guy who started about ten games in a row earlier this season. Will be interesting to see if Zakuani gets a full 90 soon.
