gozips19
it looks as if ohio has taken another wide reciever recruit from the zips. rivals is reporting that taylor price has decomitted from akron and will sign with ohio on feb 1 as this was confirmed by price's mother. i hope we are not left searching for wide reciever recruits at the deadline. go zips! RobC2
You say, "another" wide receiver prospect? Who was the other? (More than one?)
zipsbandman
It also appears that perhaps we are being put recruited by several MAC schools? A year after bringing in arguably the best class? After winning a championship to boot? Maybe nobody wants to play in the rubber bowl? Clearly we are lacking somewhere. AK-Zips
Terrance McCrae would be the other...

I think you are putting WAY too much stock is very minimal data. De-committs happen...sometimes you are the benefactor...sometimes you are on the short end. Regardless, it certainly doesn't make or break a program.2.) OU can offer something the Zips can't: Instant playing time. Akron redshirted 85% of the MAC's best recruiting class last season, and is returning a lot of starters. If an incoming Freshman is questioning if he's really good enough, the path of least resistance is OU. Even if he's mediocre, he can play right away.It is funny...OU folks are quick to tell you how crappy Akron is...but if they get a de-commit from Akron's class it is some sort of a "steal." Doesn't add up?

Quickzips
If I am thinking right we also have to look at some of the Academic Inelligables from last season and what not. Don't those guys go on scholarships for this year if they kept their grades up? And if so doesn't that take away from some of the scholarships we have to offer? zff
From what I read on an Ohio board he wanted the chance for more playing time. This is a problem we are now going oto face. Guys want a chance to play early. Well I can say is sure he going to play early but he is going to lose.Hey Price why don't you give Jarivs a call at Can't Sate and ask him about decommitting from Akron for a chance to play early!!!!!
