ZachTheZip Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 6'4" 211lb ATH Daryan Martin of Cincinnati Princeton HS. Welcome aboard, Daryan! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted July 25, 2011 Author Report Posted July 25, 2011 Rivals lists him as a LB, but I think he could also play Safety, TE, or WR. I think Zipmeister would agree with my assessment that he's too tall for be a Cornerback for us. Quote
Zipmeister Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 If we cut him in half he could play both corners. Quote
Roo Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 And we are off the bench and ready to get at it!Finally, now lets get some 5 stars Robby. Quote
Dr Z Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Nobody guessed "July 2011" for the first commit poll (as of the time of this post)!?!? Seems like iCoach is ahead of most Zip fans expectations/predictions, according to the poll.PS How's the scoreboard look, did they fix the back yet? I want to know if I was correct or not on my prediction.-------------------------------Martin, who is 6 feet 3 and 213 pounds, is a “late bloomer,” according to Croley. Martin could play at 240 or 245 pounds in college and has significant potential. Source Quote
GP1 Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 6'4" 211lb ATH Daryan Martin of Cincinnati Princeton HS.I don't know how many people remember him, but there was a OLB in the mid-late 80s named Curtis Williams. An inch taller and around the same weight as a frosh. Same high school. Curtis was a very good player (started all four years at Akron) who was recruited by schools like UCLA and some really big names. Played some in the old World League or whatever it was called. There was a possibility of him being a Prop 48 so schools backed off (he ended up not being a Prop 48). Curtis was/is a good friend of mine. Has a Masters Degree from UofA and operates his own business. The new reminds us of the old. I guess that makes me old.I like skinny kids like this who the strength coach can take and make bigger his way. Not a fan of kids who come in with too much baby fat and they need to take the fat off first. Quote

Buckzip Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Nice to get that first one out of the way. Sounds like he has decent size and room to grow. Now let the flood of verbals begin. Quote
