johnnyzip84
the MAC could have very easily been 4-0 this season, but at 3-1 its still very respectable. glad to see 4 MAC teams bowling and representing the conference well. MAC football definitely seems to be on the rise across the board so lets hope that continues here Don't forget the MAC champs. NIU still has to face Arkansas St in the GoDaddy Bowl on Jan 8. g-mann17
Thriller in the Military Bowl. Final: Toledo 42, Air Force 41. Air Force scored a TD with 52 seconds. Set up for the tying PAT and then ran a fake for 2 to win that failed. Shades of RI. Stupid call, not giving his team (AF and Akron) a chance to win the game. Two-point conversions are probably less-than-50% successful. Why risk it with the game on the line and a chance to win in OT? Sure, it may "seem" like a bold, aggressive move...but ask those Akron and Air Force players how they felt when their coach stripped them of any chance to win in OT. Akron had a very reliable FG kicker, too, so there's an OT edge. Of course, it also means "stopping" the other team, which I-a-clueless could never achieve. If not for the Air Force player bumbling the ball they would have been successful. Air Force had not yet stopped Toledo, making the game even again means Toledo has two options, score, or go to OT. Taking the lead means Toledo has to score. It puts more pressure on Toledo if Air Force makes it. Will never know why people on here are so for letting the other team control your destiny. MDZip
NIU down 13-7 to Arkansas St. Looks like the MAC might end 3-2. Still pretty good. If NIU can come back, the MAC will have the best winning percentage of any conference. The Zips just got a mention becasue the replay official is Chuck Amato's brother. tbozeglav
glad to see NIU handedly take the victory tonight and take the MAC to 4-1 in bowls this season, i believe tying C-USA for best overall record in the 2011/2012 bowl season. Happy to see the MAC well represented and perform equally well, and especially happy to see there are more opportunities for teams from our conference to go bowling even if they dont win the conference title. hopefully we can join them sooner than later! scottditzen
Well, I sure enjoyed the MAC games. Especially in comparison to last night.... WHICH SUCKED. I don't care if those were the two best teams, boring is boring. We need a freaking playoff asap.

I hope my NFL team drafts at least one of those Alabama players on D. ILB I'm hoping. That being said, if I played for LSU, I would feel cheated by that screwball coach. Why wouldn't he put in a QB?!? I almost feel sorry for the LSU kids. If I was an LSU fan that paid for a seat, I would write Miles and ask him for a refund. So, did defense win it or horrible coaching lose it? LSU's QB made a poo in his pants last night. Alabama's QB faced just as tough of a defense and didn't make a poo in his pants. Dr Z
So, did defense win it or horrible coaching lose it?I would say both. Great defense, but I wanted an entertaining game. Jefferson was horrendous. It was obvious to me after two drives in the second half, he was not going to get it done. Try something else! Don't stick with the "process." I wanted to see what Lee could do. Give him a series, see if a few quick pass completions slow down the rush. Unfortunately, we'll never know. Disappointing. Stats Alabama moved the ball with their offense. No turnovers. Balanced attack that had roughtly 235 passing and 150 running. Exactly what a pro offense wants to do. Held the ball for ten minutes more than LSU. It wasn't an offensive explosion, but as bad as LSU was, they obviously could have won with fieldgoal. Did I mention that LSU's QB made a poo in his pants? LSU needed a spark at half and a new QB would have done that for them. Terrible game.
