Zip Watcher Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 Was watching the finale of the Amazing Race last night, and it would appear that a UA fan / friend .. etc .. helped cost one of the teams a victory and the cool $1M that comes with it. In the middle of the episode, the couple stops a guy who's getting into his truck, he gets out, and has a MINT new UA shirt, with all the current logos .. and he gives the best answer to their question he can come up with .. and they run with it. Cost them probably a half hour or so. At this point they were in the lead, but it's now squandered and they don't recover. Finished second. Shame on them for not checking the intel out .. but regardless .. great shot of a UA fan on the show. Quote

This shot should definitely be moved to the random sighting thread. Where was the "race" taking place? It wasn't around Akron, was it? Quote

For anyone who has never seen the show, it is a race around the world with a bunch of stops along the way. It starts and stops in the US and this year the final leg was in Atlanta. That's where the two contestants on the left met up with the Zips fan. Quote

g-mann17 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 I never realized Steven Segal was an Akron fan/alum. Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Hmmmm isn't Buckzip in Georgia? But that guy can't be Buckzip, or else he'd have a Red and Silver top with Zip shorts Quote
