jem101
Any question is if there are any West teams in the top 6: http://t.co/Pes25TDY Pretty much sums up the disparity between the East and the West. You would think that whoever is doing these rankings would know enough about Akron to realize that Walsh is a starter on this team and has been for quite some time. Zipmeister
Wow, this is full of interesting information. If Marshall's free throw rate of 68.4 is 44th in the nation, imagine where Brian Walsh's 82.5 percent from the line ranks.

Free throw rate and free throw percentage are different statistical categories.
skip-zip
Every team in the East is ranked higher than any team in the West? Can we just eliminate that part of our schedule next year?

Zipmeister
Open mouth... insert foot Hey I don't feel bad about it. Even guys who supposedly know these new stats have trouble figuring out what they are. http://kenpom.com/blog/index.php/weblog/stats_explained/ One question, are there any basketball stats now being kept that are more worthless than this one. I think that just means he changed the definition. 2. It's not worthless at all, unless you think "how often someone goes to the line" is worthless.
