That is some well earned respect right there. Hopefully we can go in and spank some felons, embarrassing them on national tv and raising our stock. Plus, it's always fun to beat the Flushes. :champs::screwks:

Could not have said it better myself. Great opportunity.

Hopefully by then we will have locked up the NIT and will be playing that game (and the first tourney game) only for the enhancement of our at large chances, if G-D forbid we lose the championship game.

I refuse to think like a Can't fan. Though I don't want the team taking this attitude, I'm prepared for nothing less than another MACC.

Win out. Win the MACC. Secure the MAC's best tourney seeding in the last 20 years.

I kind of want the NIT bid. That way when we when the MAC Tournament, we can hand the second place "trophy" over and say, "Here, we don't need this."

The NIT bid goes to the winner of the MAC regular season. I'm greedy and want that in hand for the exact reason you mentioned...here, Can't (Bobkitties, Canadians), go on a date with your sister while we strut to the prom and charm the queen.

Let me point out a couple of things here:

1) Does anyone realize that we have never won the MAC title and secured that NIT bid? Lets finally get it. It's a great backup plan.

2) I don't think the NIT bid is handed to the 2nd place team if the #1 seed wins the MAC tourney. I think the NIT only has an automatic bid obligation to the regular season champ.

A secondary MAC team is worthy of an NIT bid this year. Regular season champ or not.

You are right, but that's not what I am saying.

Unless someone can correct me, there is only one auto qualifier. That automatic NIT bid does not get "handed down" to the next team if the regular season champ wins the MAC tournament.

Anyone else other than the regular season champ would essentially be a subjective "at-large" pick.

You are correct sir.
