Zeke Marshall- 3 point assassin

I think Zeke took his first 3 point shot of his college career. It didn't go in but it was not an ugly miss. At the next time out Zeke went over to the bench and instead of getting dirty looks, Keith smiled and gave him a pat and Zeke's face lit up in a smile. They looked like they were laughing. I think I saw Zeke smile more in the second half than the reat of the season. He had a great second half and never got down on himself. Hopefully, he starts to understand to stop getting down on himself. This team seems to explode after he blocks a shot.

He also shot one after a foul call. It was a swish, but of course did not count.

Based on his free throws, he is turning into a shooter.

I would rather see him take threes than Nitro at this point.

It definitely wasn't Zeke's first 3-pointer ever taken in college. While the game was likely over at the time, I remember he took a WTF 3-pointer in the tourney game last year against Notre Dame.

I did notice the swish after the foul. Zeke has improved his stroke for sure.

Still, I'd say lets work on finding him space in that 10-15 foot range for face-ups, not the 18-22 foot range.

I love the pass from Alex to Zeke in the paint followed by the DUNK and foul.

When he made the free throw I thought, THAT is the 3 point assassin I envisioned when Zeke signed.

IMO this is the kind of thing Zeke needs to work on if he wants to get some run at the next level. He is never going to be an elite, or even above average low post scorer. He simply doesn't have the lower body for it. But big guys who can stretch the floor are a hot commodity in the NBA. With his defensive abilities, if Zeke can turn himself into a good 15-18 foot jump-shooter he can carve out a nice little nitch for himself at the next level. I would expect to see Zeke work a lot on this aspect of his game in the offseason and display it a lot more his senior year.

Now we're talking. These are the X and o plays that I feel KD must be drawing. Why do we see a Rico to Zeke pass inside the paint on a broken play once every 3 games and we don't see it few times a game right off a time-out?

I cringe every time I see Zeke posting up 12 feet from the basket and asking for the ball. I wonder, who draws this play? and for what? for Zeke to get the ball and throw a sky hook shot, which he makes at a rate of 10%?

Zeke is listed in the team stats as taking one other three pointer this year. Nick Harney is still the fourth leading scorer this year with very few threes in with his points. Thta surprised me a little.
