I lived in NE Ohio for 20 years and never heard of this school.

It's a small private college in Painesville. I'm pretty sure it's been around at least as long as UA. They just added football a few years ago, though.

It's close to home for Nicely and I'm sure he'll do well there.

I've brought up this school before, because they play against Wayne State.

I grew up in that area. "Small" is an understatement. If you don't turn your head at the right moment while driving by, you'll miss it.

Lake Erie College was established in 1856 and remained a women's college until 1986. It's best known for its equine studies. Enrollment is about 1,200 -- about the size of a large high school. If Nicely is up to it, there's an opportunity for him to be a very big fish in a very small pond there. I appreciate him trying his best to produce results under terrible conditions at UA, and wish him only the best of luck.

Thatas a damn shame. Some folks on this board busted his chops. But, after JD he never had a real shot at starting. The guy Ianello chose didn't elevate the play of people around him. Whether Nicely would have given a chance, with some decent coaching, nobody can say. But,he showed enough his first year to have a better opportunity than Lake Erie College.

Get the degree and make a real career.

I just checked out the official website at www.lakeeriestorm.com and they use the same terrible template as gozips.com. Cool.

Well you were looking at the mobile version. The normal websites (both done by PrestoSports) are actually much different, and Lake Erie's looks more like something for a small minor league team or something. Very over designed.

I wasn't looking at the mobile site, but I apologize. I shouldn't have said template. I should have said designer or something. :tomato: Template was the wrong term.

According to their web site they sponsor 21 varsity teams. Half the school must be in one sport or another. What does a young lady do with a degree in horses?
