Caldwell only Zip on Hermann List

Recommended Posts

A little surprising to me that there's no one else from Akron, but at least Scott Caldwell made the pre-season list. You don't have to be on this list to get votes. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing the Lowe's Senior Class Award list. I expect our Center Back, CB to be on that list.

Thankfully that watch list doesn't mean anything. Honestly, and I mean this with absolutely no disrespect to Scotty, he's probably not even the best player on our team, so it's weird that he would be the only one on the list. I'm sure it'll be looking a lot different come November

Four players from Iona made it. 15 players out of the top 25 ranked men's teams made it. This list means beyond nothing.

Congratulations to Scott for being named on the Hermann Trophy watch list. I'm certain that he or any of our Zips would say that winning the National Championship is the goal.

Iona has 4 players on that list, I don't understand.

You'd think Iona would at least be listed in the Top 30 rankings to have four players on this watch list or have a Top 30 recruiting class.

I agree with bisbee, this list was compiled while smoking ganga

I believe All-American is more than just on field performance. In my opinion we have a team full of All Americans. Upperclassmen likely have the edge because they've had a larger body of work on and off the field.

Congratulations to Scott and Chad on all of their accomplishments.

I do not owe much for pre-season All-Americans.

“I obscenity in the milk of thy" pre-season All-American list!

I take the opportunity to laud this Senior Class as perhaps the best in Zips history. I speak of Barson, Caldwell, Meves, and Schmitt.

God knows it has become rare for quality players to graduate deplete eligibility.

You were correct with "graduate" as well as deplete eligibility. I know from talking with them over the summer that Chad, Scott, and Thomas are on track to graduate in December. I've not asked David or his parents, but I hope he is also.

We consistently hear about collegiate athletes turning professional long before graduating. This class is on schedule for graduation, or better.
