johnnyzip84
I hate to lose as much as anyone, but I am extremely proud of the Zips for their effort tonight. I'm more optimistic now than I was before the game. See everyone at the Morgan St game. Go Zips!!!
zipsfan33
46 yard FG not since Swiger or way back to Alcorn could we have made that one!
PB1719
If there are any FIU fans out there, congrats on winning a well fought game. You have one tough QB.
K92
What a bummer. Wish I could have seen it, but from the radio call it sounded like the boys left it all on the field. Things are getting better. I have faith.

Zipgrad01
A loss is a loss. O-2 is exactly like last year. Our offense looks way better, but this defense is pathetic.

Zipgrad01
So you will be happy if we go 1-11, but lose every game 41-38? Don't get me wrong....I like being competitive, but losing fun games doesn't make better recruits come here. We need to win.
akzipper
We lost, but it is so different from last year it is amazing. I get the whole "moral victory" thing, but if we don't end up in the win column does anyone care? What if Ianello's teams went 0-24 and lost every game in overtime. Would he still have a job? At the end of the day we have to realize that we should have won this game, and gave it right away. It started out as a trainwreck and I give them credit for fighting back. But I can guarantee Bowden and the players aren't in the locker room popping champagne bottles right now and getting their tickets to Disney. I hate to fill this place with negativity, but a fan can only take so much. This stings much worse than the blowout loss last week.
ZIPFB#1
Sorry for the loss. The Zips played hard! Certainly more competitive than recent years. Miss you all! Go Zips!

PB1719
Our pass rushers got tired in the second half. They played a solid game, we need about two - three more solid defensive players to add depth. Offensively, we dropped a lot of balls again. Our line held it's own, DW13 threw pretty well, he had a few dangerous passes. If we cut our penalties and dropped balls in half, we could be a force this season. K92
Wow I said that back in December. I just want to see improvement and maximum effort. This week the penalties were worrisome. But we just lost in overtime to a team that was a 3 touchdown favorite. Some of the negativity needs to stop. (And to be truthful, 1 win would not satisfy me)

Lack of depth is a problem for this team, and it sounds like they got gassed in the second half.
Spin
Taking the team expected to be the best in the Sunbelt into overtime, I'll take that every day of the week. They never quit, and I don't remember a Zips team that loved to hit this HARD. Lack of depth in the front seven hurt us, but didn't kill us. Mistakes and lucky calls went both ways. I see us winning three games now, Morgan St, UMass, and either CMich or Can't. These guys could upset any of the tough MAC teams (Mia, BG, NIll, Tol, Ohio). The only untouchable is Tennessee. Terry has converted me to a "glass is half full" fan. Bring on Morgan State!!!

Don't get me wrong....I like being competitive, but losing fun games doesn't make better recruits come here. We need to win. Let me make an analogy. It's like somebody just handed me the keys to a brand new Ferrari. Then an hour later somebody takes it away and drives it into a lake. Should I be happy that I had a Ferrari for 1 hour? Do people care if I had a Ferrari for an hour? NO This "best team in the Sunbelt" got crushed by Duke...just saying

NO But if you never got the chance to drive a ferrari, and you got the chance, wouldn't you be okay with it for now? I know i am...at least until i get another chance to drive a ferrari(there's my analogy)
PB1719
Right on. Lack of depth is a problem for this team, and it sounds like they got gassed in the second half. One other thing, the guys played like they knew they could pull it off. I never saw an Ianello coached team that ever felt like they had a chance, or desired winning. Coach Bowden has this progrum hungry.

Spin
Does this mean were outta the Bottom10? Depends on which poster you ask. It's either a step forward from the last 3, 4 years or the end of the #@$ %&@$ world...
akzipper
Does this mean were outta the Bottom10? Even I would say that we deserve to be out of the ranking. But it's ESPN, and it's the national media. They only really care about wins/losses.
