tpsjugglerdude Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Last time Akron lost by 2 goals was Aug 24, 2008 to UNC 2-0 in the first game of the 2008 campaign. How many other schools can say they haven't lost by 2 or more goals in 4 years? That was the year we got to beat OSU twice, the second time in the tourney on a last second goal at St V. Quote
Ando Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 You are suggesting a 4-4-3? it'd make things easier, i'd bet Quote
bobbyake Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 You are suggesting a 4-4-3? Using a goalie is overrated Quote
yazan07 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 We're deep enough that not having Aodhan probably doesn't mean we have to play a guy who has not received PT this year, probably just start Derschang and maybe move Stevenson into the midfield if Aodhan was even playing in the midfield. Oh that reminds me of a question I had: does anyone actually hava clue what is going on with this team? haha I just feel like I haven't seen them play in a while. I see just from the box score that Souders has come off the bench, so have we been starting with three in the back? Or I heard that Serna had been playing left back, is that true? Was Quinn playing in the midfield or on the wing? I don't even know what position anyone besides our keeper and centerbacks even play anymore or if we have started using any crazy formation. I think maybe it's time for the team to come home for a little while. Quote
Ando Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 4 man back line today: Serna Souders Barson Yedlin Gallego at DMF Quote

jem101 Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Using a goalie is overrated Oops! haha. Now I know how Can't students feel. Meant a 4-3-3. Caldwell, Trapp, and Serna in MF. Quote
Zips Win! Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 elbow to head right in front of asst referee Did you get to see this? In person it sure seemed that Quinn and the ND player had arms locked together. Quinn was trying to break away and as he pulled his arm out, his arm and elbow raised about his head.. Bullshit officiating the entire tournament. We were just able to survive on Friday. Quote

There's a reason why they didn't show the replay. Quinn got his arm locked up and tried to pull away, catching his opposite arm across the ND player's face. Just a sham of a call. Quote
