zipsfan33 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Two of my top 10 Zips ever! I have a picture of Hixon returning a punt in a Giants uniform in my mancave! Quote
Class of 82 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 That Hixon remains in the league after the terrible injuries he's suffered is extraordinary and truly impressive. That is a young man with true grit and determination. I think what I like best about Domenik and Chase (and Jason Taylor, too) is that they are not just good players, but good and decent people as well. They are a real credit to Akron football. P.S. Greatest Zips moment ever was Hixon's TD catch in the MAC championship after being sick on the sidelines just the play before. Quote

He probably lost a step or two, but he played really well on Sunday. Quote

Walk on player, gets cut, goes home, gets called back, makes the defensive play of the Super Bowl (and how many linebackers make interceptions 40 yards downfield anyway), and is now the starting Middle Line Backer for the Super Bowl Champs. It is really a great sports story. Quote

Stands up, puts his helmet on, goes out and wins the MACC! The stuff of legends! Quote

scottditzen Posted October 5, 2012 Report Posted October 5, 2012 I've gotten a lot of good vibes watchin Domenik and Chase over the years. They are true professionals and have made us proud in how they carry themselves. And that reminds me...we need to make imagery of all the great players in our history much more visible around the Info. I want to see more banners, statues, plaques, billboards...whatever! Quote

I think it would be neat to have huge blown-up pictures hanging on the wall underneath the stands where the concessions are. Too plain in there. Quote
Hilltopper Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 I found this article today. Chase’s on when it counts for Giants defense Quote
