fknbuflobo Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 PSU is on the up swing; Zips had better be careful. Don't bogart that video feed! Quote
okayokay Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Was it not at the last game there that the zips uniforms disappeared? Quote
bobbyake Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 Was it not at the last game there that the zips uniforms disappeared? Hopefully the little soccer buddies that go out on the field before the game don't disappear Quote
RootforRoo44 Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 We haven't given up a goal in exactly one month...wonder if it will continue? Quote
TennZip Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 PSU Twitter says Brenes scored on a breakaway Quote
TennZip Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 Mr. Caldwell with a penalty kick at 41 minutes 2-0 zips !!! Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Matchtracker is frozen. Surely, this is over now. Quote
bigzipguy Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Gametracker started working with 8 minutes to go. Zips win it 2-0 Quote
fknbuflobo Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Why were Derschang and Serna substituted? Quote
AkronZip54321 Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 another very solid result. this team doesn't scare opposition like the 2008-2010 teams did but they are churning out result after result lately. If the season ended today would we be seeded 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16? I'd say 5-8 without heavily looking at the other top teams and how theyve done. still find it hard to think we will be ok without a guy we can count on to score goals in tight difficult tourney games but maybe I'm wrong... Ando Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Why were Derschang and Serna substituted? Derschang picked up a knock and came off with injury. Not sure about the deets on that. Quote
plowerman78 Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Derschang collided heads with a PSU player, looked like he thought he was at SMU still when he walked off the field. Quote

Zip_ME87 Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 It was a very good, solid win for the Zips vs PSU and the referees. Should have had a pk early on and the 2nd yellow should definitely have been a red for an elbow to the head. EDIT: The Zips left for Akron after they showered. Should be practicing at Akron today, I believe. I hope some folks show up and congratulate them. They have a quick turnaround heading for DeKalb tomorrow for the Saturday noon (CT) matchup. Quote
TennZip Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 nice article about their passing http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2012/...cer_gamer_.aspx Quote
bobbyake Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 No story on Ohio.com. the Akron Beacon Journal must have forgot about Akron Soccer. I've noticed they've fallen off the wagon this year in coverage. Quote

Rasor at least touched on soccer occasionally and allowed Michael Beaven to post on his blog about soccer. Quote

I really dislike his work and find it unfortunate that the ABJ appointed him to cover Akron sports. Quote
