I'm sure you'll get decent updates here, but check AkronSportsNOW.com (twitter feed is in right sidebar) or follow @AkronSportsNOW on twitter for more in-depth stuff. One of us is there in Michigan. RootforRoo44
Michigan State is REALLY pushing for the ball on defense, playing very physical. If the Zips cut out the sloppy passing, they could really burn the Spartans. No score yet though.
RootforRoo44
Still no score, but the Zips are REALLY pressuring MSU now. Almost halftime, hopefully the Zips can sneak one in here before the Spartans get their halftime breather.
fknbuflobo
Why was Caldwell subbed? Please tell me no injury.
TheTank123
Why was Caldwell subbed? Please tell me no injury. According to Paul Warner it was Yedlin who was subbed...also hoping for no injury/poor play haha.

TheTank123
Yedlin is injured? Not that anyone can tell. I know he said his legs were tired after the Hartwick game. Maybe it's just for poor play.

He's been moving around on the sideline, I don't believe he's injured. He wasn't his usual self today, and the Zips weren't using his side of the field much because of it. Yedlin has not been in top form of late. I see this as temporary. And Abdul-Salaam has been demanding PT with brilliant practice sessions. LOL I'd almost rather it be injury related than from poor play...poor play gets you benched and CP doesn't like to sub.
fknbuflobo
I cannot get the twitter feed at work. Which team has most of the ball at the 75 minute mark?

fknbuflobo
And Yedlin is back in. Yes, that appears to be our rotation. We have three guys for two slots; I like all three. This is good.

Based on timing, I wonder if it was planned to limit him to 45 minutes. Subbed out for last five of first half and back in for last five of second half...you wouldn't put an injured player or someone you feel is playing poorly back in when the game is on the line. Nice to see we have depth at outside back though, that was definitely a concern coming into the year.
TennZip
and it is a 1-0 win.... MSU had 2 corner kicks and 2 shots on goal in last 6 minutes

fknbuflobo
And that is a wrap! Curious to see Souders @ MF again. Mmm. Epic tailgate prior to W. Michigan! When are you attending a home match, Tank?

When are you attending a home match, Tank? Souders will probably be the D mid when we need to hold a lead. Quinn comes out and Trapp moves forward. Ha, I'm not sure. Maybe for one of the MAC playoff games. Chances are lower if he only plays 45 ;-)
Zipmeister
REALLY interesting stat on the game report at GoZips.com. According the the release, Akron has now won 25 of 37 games against MSU and 22 of 33 against all teams from the Big Ten. Go figure.

RootforRoo44
Is that 22/33 vs. all other Big10? That wouldn't be right either, considering we are 26-6-3 all time vs OSU alone.
