Brenes didn't play at all in our last game but didn't know if that was cause of senior night and they wanted to get Schmitt some playing time. Is Gallego hurt? Quote

okayokay Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 What about Quinn? He provides much more offense which is what we need. Quote
jem101 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Here's what I'd like to see. It's fairly consistent with what we've seen this year and is our best lineup imo .................Brenes................... Stevenson.................Serna..... ........Quinn...........Scottie........ ..................Trapp.................. Derschang.....................Yedlin ...........Gallego....Barson.......... ..................Meves.................... Quote

We shall see. If we are taking bets, I submit my initial offering. Glad to see that someone else is paying attention. Quote
Ando Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 i'd like to see the standard "front six" (with maybe Salam for Derschang), and then up top: One of Stevenson/Serna on the left, but a bit deeper, Brenes up top, and Koroma on the right in the "Ronaldo role," ie not a ton of defensive responsibility and breaking quickly and directly, cutting in a lot. I think this works especially well when Brenes shades toward the right, as he's been wont to do lately edit: or maybe Salam on the left wing? Dude might be our own Fabian Johnson Quote
TennZip Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 Coach Porter said Reinaldo and Aodhan were held out of the WMU game with minor ding type injuries Gallego got a little dinged up in WMU game and missed the last 45 minutes Quote

When Gallego went out at HT, we pretty much went to the lineup I suggested at the beginning of this thread. Souders hangs too far back when playing HMF anyway. May just as well play him at CB where he likes it. Quote

fknbuflobo Posted November 9, 2012 Author Report Posted November 9, 2012 What about his ability to play defense? Derschang is a 6 ft. physical guy who runs and tackles well. At the beginning of the season, he seemed like a good sub off the bench @ Forward. Porter's genius is finding unlikely slots for quality players. Roster is willing to play a position they perhaps have never played before, just because they trust Porter. That, and they want into the first 11. Quote
