Dr Z Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 I wish I had a dollar for every time I posted this. Look for the link to show up later this morning. Quote

akzipper Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Only up by 3? this is getting ridiculous. I'm tired of hearing about "moral victories" and being positive after losses. At the end of the day no one cares if they should have won games or almost won games. No one should be okay with losing. Don't be surprised if they end up 1-3 Quote
akronzips71 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 What is with them on the "last shot". AA wasted the entire time then tried to jam it in. They REALLY have to do better with clock management, it is costing us games. Quote

akzipper Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 dude, seriously. Go root for Kent. I'm always going to be an Akron fan. But no one should be okay with losing. Quote
OZoner Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 I'm always going to be an Akron fan. But no one should be okay with losing. "Up by 3 at halftime" is not analogous to losing. Quote
bUAkronG Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 I'm always going to be an Akron fan. But no one should be okay with losing. it's not about being okay with losing. Are you going to complain if we end the game up by 3? because we should have won by 8 or 9? Quote
Dave in Green Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 The Zips are playing an 11-man rotation that will wear down UNCA as the second half goes on. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Note to Rico: You have a lot of talent on the floor with you. You are a point guard so please quit jacking up 23 footers when your stroke has not been solid at all. Pass the ball. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 dude, seriously. Go root for Kent. I blame Mc Nees. ( That is a joke, going back to all the venom spit his way his senior year.) This is our first game with all our pieces in place, we'll be fine. Quote

Playing all of these close games makes it easier for heartbreaking outcomes like the Ok State finish. People can blame Chancey all they want, but the way the team was throwing up bricks the score should have never been that close to begin with. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Nice to see CG getting his stroke back Quote
LZIp Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Gilliam playing like a senior today. Quote
OZoner Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 #33 for Asheville is an Ohio native. Quote
Dave in Green Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 The announcer just observed that Akron "is a well-coached defensive team." Quote
OZoner Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 The announcer just observed that Akron "is a well-coached defensive team." Dino Gaudio is a MAC alumnus and seems to have done his homework. Respects Akron and the conference. Quote
LZIp Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Actually played against Cunninghum in high school. He played for Waterford. Gaudio is actually an Ohio native as well. From one of the Buckeye schools prior to consolidating and becoming Buckeye Local in Jefferson Co. I am really pleased with the Zips today. This is how we should play all year. UNC-Asheville is a quality team that took Syracuse to the limit last year in the tourney. Its a shame Tree and Harney werent able to play the first 3 games, but hopefully we will not have to worry about any at large because I plan on winning the MAC! Quote

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Zips playing UNC Asheville as we speak? Not sure what OK State has to do with today's game. Also, I didn't realize a 15 point game was a close game. Quote
OZoner Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Kretzer has a very smoother jumper. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 You can tell that Melo has talent, but he really needs to slow it down. He plays out of control. Quote
