TennZip
Hmmm....looks like we proved the NCAA right... Injuries really impacted this game.....Dillon and Reinaldo would have made a huge difference.... rooting for Creighton next weekend against Connecticut
Z.I.P.
Quinn made his shot in 5th rubber. Then Creighton made their kick. Bluejays win shootout 5-4, bringing to an end this season, and an incredible era in Zips soccer. Good luck coach Porter.
akzipper
Hope the Zips don't go 0-2 against Creighton...on to basketball
AkronZip54321
This team was great but they really missed having a Nagbe, Teal, Zakuani, Mattocks type. When we needed a goal we weren't always sure where it was going to come. Great season, was very sad to leave the stadium today not hearing the students doing their chant. jem101
Still in shock. Can't believe it ended this way... Soccer can be such a cruel sport. In no other sport can you so thoroughly outplay your opponent and come away with nothing. Thanks Caleb for all you've done for this program. Crew8
Missed opportunities, should have never went to PKs especially up a man for 20 minutes. Those are the games they needed to put away. Unfortunate how the season ended, but feel even more for those seniors. Its been a great run with Caleb. Onto a new phase of Akron Soccer. Dave in Green
Still in shock. Can't believe it ended this way... Soccer can be such a cruel sport. This is one of the reasons why I have such a hard time trying to follow soccer. Like so many other things in life, soccer is an acquired taste. I really appreciate that UA has been so good in soccer for so long, and I really appreciate how dedicated Zips soccer fans are. Believe me when I say that I feel your pain and frustration. Over the years I've felt similar pain and frustration in other sports. But soccer seems to take that pain and frustration to a higher level. bigzipguy
Soccer is like other sports in at least one respect: When you clearly dominate play, but not put away your opponent, look out.
RowdyZip
FYI, those with twitter accounts can thank Coach Porter for what he's done for the program by using the hashtag #ThanksCaleb

Our one weakness under Porter has been sailing PK's over the crossbar...Blair Gavin did the same thing in the 2009 final. Hopefully Coach Embick will take note and zero in on that.
