GoZips
VOTE Zipsnation. This is the last day. UCLA is busy right now (Monday noontime) trying to put their candidate back in the lead. Vote multiple times. We owe Scott and the soccer team.

GoZips
All the talk of how we love and support our futbolers. Well, where the heck is it? UCLA is closing the gap real Zips fans built this morning. They are on the verge of over taking Scott. Ticks me off. I have been voting for hours as have a few other real Zips fans. Take an hour and vote over and over to give Scott a cushion. If UCLA gets a lead this evening it is not likely that it can be over come. VOTE NOW ... !!!!! Dave in Green
I believe voting ends at midnight CST tonight. That would be 1 a.m. for Akron, 10 p.m. for Los Angeles, and 8 p.m. for our Hawaiian secret weapon. Looks like those of us in Akron are going to have to stay up late to protect against a late UCLA charge.

Time to vote is now.
Dave in Green
While just voting I saw Scott's advantage go up a tenth! Could get pretty crazy between midnight and 1 a.m. Akron time.
you am i
Scott is up .4. You know these UCLA guys are going to make a big push in the last few hours. Vote.

Dave in Green
I was starting to get discouraged there about not seeing the margin change until it finally just moved from a .5 to a .6 advantage for Scott. Hope the UCLA folks are even more discouraged. EDIT: And as I post this, it goes back to .5. Great horse race here!

Dave in Green
Wow! 26% to 25.1% in favor of Scott. Great work. Just beware of rope-a-dope, i.e. UCLA folks waiting until Akron folks go to bed and sneaking in a late barrage. It ain't over until 1 a.m. Akron time. No cramping in my fingers yet. Zip_ME87
Congratulations Zipsnation. When voting ended, Scott had a 26.5% to 25% lead. OUTSTANDING WORK!! GO ZIPS!!

Dave in Green
My wife kidded me about being a "cheater." I told her the way I look at it is that the Zips average way more soccer attendance than UCLA. In a straight vote among those soccer fans, UA would beat UCLA. When UCLA fans started trying to pack the vote, we simply invoked the self-defense rule.

UCLA soccer fans are not that passionate. I think that the kids's family was heavily involved in the voting
tpsjugglerdude
With Scott Caldwell receiving the majority of the votes, the NCAA has announced that since he is from Akron he will be awarded the 5th place prize...
Zip_ME87
Many thanks to those who voted yesterday morning and gave Scott a comfortable lead. To me, that made the voting "easier" in the evening. Having that lead (and just needing to maintain it) and reading posts on here confirming that we were voting in numbers, were morale boosters for me.
