From what I've read Puerto Rico has a VERY high homicide rate. Something like 5x higher than the US, but not sure how it compares to other latin american countries/islands. I know it seems like I hear every day about baseball players being a victim of terrible crimes down there. Makes me a little hesitant to add them as a state. I'm sure the UA staff did a very good job making sure the team stayed safe down there. Quote
