Not sure if I can buy your analysis, Dave. Egner, if I'm not mistaken, did not play a single minutia in any game this season (thereby keeping his sophomore season alive in NCAA eyes). Therefore, I guess he's been "benched" all season?

Z.I.P., hate to burst your bubble of hope. Josh Egner is no longer on the team. Josh might get his sophomore year back if he transfers to a non Div. 1 program. Rumor has it that he was headed for Mount Union (Div. 3) to join his former HS coach and a couple of his former team mates.

@Z.I.P., what I'm saying is that @TrippleZip overheard some people talking about a player being benched for a game. No one was really benched for the game, but Egner stopped appearing on the bench. So I'm guessing someone had heard about Egner leaving the team but misinterpreted it. I guess we'll never know for sure what those folks were actually talking about.

Justice was not served at the CSU game. But obviously he and the other Human Victory Cigars were not the subject of the original post...they rarely play anyhow.

I highly doubt someone heard about Egner leaving the team and misinterpreted it.

I expect some know-nothing heard something completely unrelated to the Zips basketball program and blurted-out something completely erronious. Which typically goes straight to the internet.
