It is hard to comprehend how we come out so strong and just flat out go in the tank. OU is playing twice as hard as we are. A blow out loss here ends any thought of an at large bid and doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy about the tourney. We need to beat these guys to get it in their head that we are better. The last thing that I want is our guys knowing that they have lost the last 3 out of 4 to these guys. The mental portion of the game means A LOT, especially in college ball.

There is no excuse for crying and not hustling back when a call doesn't go your way. Cannot believe you guys are defending him.

Thank you. I understand the comic relief Dave, but you and I both know that there is no reason not to get back on defense sans an injury.

Down 11 at the half? Let's be honest, if any Zips team could make up a deficit like that(even to OU on the road) it is this Zips team. We just need to come out and play our game. We have been playing poorly but can turn it around in a hurry.

6 turnovers for Akron, OU is shooting 60%+ from behind the arc, and we're only down 11 at half.

This team needs to mentally regroup and just play their game. If that happens, I like our chances.

I agree. There is nothing you can do to beat OU on the road when they are scorching hot from deep like they are now. The trick is to play well enough to keep it close and to catch up if/when they cool off.

The turnovers and dumb fouls are the biggest difference. However, having Zeke away from the rim isn't helping either. OU has gotten too many easy rebounds and buckets inside off quick pass, and having Zeke away from the rim has not limited any of the hot, deep shooting. We are getting out rebounded by a smaller team too. KD needs to show me he can coach and correct for these couple of deficiencies. This is still a winnable game.
