Dave in Green Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 There is no excuse for crying and not hustling back when a call doesn't go your way. Cannot believe you guys are defending him. No one on that team hustles more than Tree. He will more than make up for that over the course of the game. Quote
zippy_ua_00 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 We started 9-0 what's to say we can't do it again Quote
zippy5 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 OU is shooting 63 percent from 3. No chance for us to have the lead at this point, the as someone said, we're close enough to catch them when they go cold. And if they don't, props to them. Quote
cjapsu Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 We started 9-0 what's to say we can't do it again No kidding... we were up over NDSU by 20+ with 10 minutes to go and they whittled the lead down to 6. My feeling is always that so long as we're within 10 at the half, the game's still totally undecided. Granted we're down by 11, on the road, against our new arch-nemesis, I'm still not convinced it's over. Quote

I hope he does, but there is no denying the lack of hustle on D and the boards in the first half. Also, OU is shooting good because they have good ball movement and are shooting wide open shots. You can't beat a team that doesn't miss, especially when they are extending the floor by making 3's from 3-5 feet behind the line. Keep it close enough to take over if/when they cool off. If they don't, you get them next time. All of OU's offense is driven by hot shotting. When they can't shoot, they are a terrible team...see the Belmont game as a perfect example. Quote
Gcc Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Thank you. I understand the comic relief Dave, but you and I both know that there is no reason not to get back on defense sans an injury. Down 11 at the half? Let's be honest, if any Zips team could make up a deficit like that(even to OU on the road) it is this Zips team. We just need to come out and play our game. We have been playing poorly but can turn it around in a hurry. Lazy? Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Instead of Zeke doubling down on Keely, Keely is left alone against Harney and scores in close. Keely was shut down NEAR THE BASKET when Zeke guarded him there in Akron. I just don't understand Zeke out high ... Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 OU 0-4 on 3s to start the second half. Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 See, OU goes cold from 3 and we catch up. That easy. Rarely if ever does a team stay hot from 3 for an entire game. Quote

GoZips88 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Keely denied NEAR THE BASKET by Zeke! Zips down by 5! Quote

UAZipster0305 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 See how easy this is. Zeke under the basket...all the difference in the world...good job, KD. Quote
PB1719 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Isn't Akron a second half team? Down two.... Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Zeke bodying Keely underneath - turnover OU! Quote
PB1719 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 We just need to keep Zeke out of foul trouble. Quote
cjapsu Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Lead. 46-45!!! NO FEAR! Is fearing the Roo allowed? Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Let me be clear ... Zeke near the basket! Quote
bUAkronG Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Cooper tried to get the same call he got in the first half and cries because he doesn't get it. Alex with ICE WATER in his veins sinking a DEEP 3. Quote
