ZachTheZip Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 We've gone to an 18 game conference schedule. 1/8 @ Ball State 1/12 @ Ohio 1/15 vs. Miami 1/18 vs. Toledo 1/22 @ Eastern Michigan 1/25 @ Central Michigan 1/29 vs. Ball State 2/1 @ Can't State 2/5 vs. Eastern Michigan 2/9 @ Bowling Green 2/12 @ Western Michigan 2/15 vs. Northern Illinois 2/19 @ Buffalo 2/22 vs. Ohio 2/26 @ Miami 3/1 vs. Bowling Green 3/4 vs. Buffalo 3/8 vs. Can't State Quote
MDZip Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 Don't get the logic behind that one. So we play EMU and Ball St. twice and eveyone else in the West once? I liked the old format of East for five, West for six and East for five more. Maybe it because the division winners are no longer guaranteed the 1 and 2 spots so they thought more crossover games were needed? And we get Buffalo twice in five games? Not a fan but it won't likely make a lot of difference. Quote
skip-zip Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I love closing the season with 3 home games. That could be HUGE if we end up in a "control your own destiny" situation on March 1st. Quote
tpsjugglerdude Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 I really like that we have 5 Non conference games on the ESPN family of networks (St. Marys, Oregon St, 2 more in HI, and South Carolina). That's 4 games in a row of straight Akron on ESPN. Top that off with at least 1 Can't and 1 OU game most likely being on ESPN, Akron did pretty well for ESPN games this year. Quote
Z.I.P. Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 The women's schedule is out at the same time. And they're taking a late November trip to the Big West to play @ Cal Poly SLO and vs UC-Davis. Hey! a visit to Paso Robles after Thanksgiving is this vinophile's dream! Quote
LZIp Posted September 3, 2013 Report Posted September 3, 2013 So why is OU able to get a game against OSU but not us? Save the "they're scared" excuse. They would be just as, if not more "afraid" of them than us. Quote
