Big Zip
A little disappointed with the press conference. I was under the impression (based on last year) we were a team that was going to attack without fear and play high flying offense. Terry says in this press conference similar things to I-Coach...well we wanted to play them close and try to win it at the end. We wanted to play conservative and not turn the ball over. Is there something in the water at the Zips offices that does this to the coaches? The Tennessee game last year saw us play like a team that wanted to win. The UCF we played scared and Terry basically confirmed it.
Lee Adams
Read the PD today. Appears that finally,TB is realizing that Chisholm may not be the RB for this offense. He talked about how running 'north/south' ain't all that bad. Expect to see the kid from Ravenna getting some more touches this week. MaxZIP
Bowden seems to have lost the fire and presence he had last year.
K92
Bowden seems to have lost the fire and presence he had last year. I agree, but a bet a few wins brings back the "Old Terry". @Lee Adams Coach Bowden as much as said JC7 is on notice. The coaches have "worked with him and worked with him". That sounds like he needs to be a disciplined runner (now) or they will play a less talented, but more disciplined runner, no? I would imagine it's probably real hard for a coach to have to finally sit a kid with that kind of talent, though.

The UCF we played scared and Terry basically confirmed it. Though I agree, I honestly agree with TB's game plan. They expected to play a lot closer...not having UCF jump to 7 point (in 30 seconds) and 14 point (5 minutes) so early in the game. The conservative play calling was likely because last year we had four turnovers, 3 from the offense, which basically handed UCF 14-21 easy points last year. There is something in the water; it's called 4 years with a 6-42 record. It's called literally having the "turn around" game 4x last year, only coming up empty in the waning seconds of the game. That's enough to drain ANYONE's fire; including TB's.
GP1
This is all things coaches say in press conferences that they don't really mean. Of course they want to limit turnovers...what coach says, "We want to go out there and turn the ball over five more times than them."? He states the obvious...the RB is not getting the job done and is on notice. We want to play them close...translation...we are going to throw the ball around and try to score 50 on them. Bowden is a master with the press. He isn't going to reveal anything before a must win home opener through the media. Never give the other team bulletin board material. Just bad luck against FIU, and we ran out of gas at Can't State and Tennessee.
