lance99
The Zips finally did it! Now does it continue? Meaning could they win some games? Even Nick Caponi said that every game is winnable(talking on the radio). We all know that we need wins, so does it start with this one? Discuss. Dave in Green
Zips will have to play better than they did toward the end of the game today to beat anyone even slightly better than Miami. They can't relax a bit, but must continually work on improving.
Valpo Zip
I want 1 more win this year. Not because 3-9 is so much better than 2-10 but because I feel that 3 wins will allow TB to tell recruits that he turned the corner with this program and broke the 1 win season trend. RootforRoo44
One more win? Anything less than two more wins is unacceptable. -UMASS -Can't
Balsy
Yeah one win? UMass and Can't are games that we can win. Frankly, I think we can shock either Toledo or Ball State (both at home). We've got to minimize the mistakes. We frankly left 17 points on the field yesterday. One missed FG, and two fumbles by Bickley on TD drives. Should have been 41-17 by that mark. Akron beat Akron today and came out with the win though so I'll take it. TB's gotta muster the troops to play hard against BallS.
ZachTheZip
The last time that the Zips were coming off of a win (that they almost blew against a bad team), they responded by playing one of the best games an Akron team has ever played. I think the same thing will happen against Ball State. Whether that's enough for a win remains to be seen. The strengths and weakness of BSU are different than the ones we had against Michigan. Just need to win the battles in the trenches, and Akron has a good shot. I expect to be 11-point home dogs.
ZachTheZip
Ball State receives a single vote in both the AP and Coaches polls.
MDZip
There are three teams in the top 25 right now that the Zips played this year (UCF, Michigan and NIU) and they had a legitimate chance to beat two of them. Since the Zips can't win the MAC this year barring a minor miracle I am rooting for NIU to run the table and some BCS leagues to falter to get NIU back to a BCS game (and maybe get to see Kirk Herbstreits head explode in the process). That would put some money in Akron's coffers and raise the MAC profile a bit again (and no, I'm not worried about a possible recruiting advantage, the Zips are still a long way from there). They still have Umass, EMU and WMU (should all be easy wins for them) and Toledo on the road and Ball State at home. They have a good chance to run the table and be favored against any East team in the MACC.

Zipmeister
He is talking about NIU. Where are the NIU/WMU and NIU/EMU games scheduled to be played? Not that they aren't long shots, but I think EMU has a better shot at an upset at NIU and WMU has a better shot at home.
MDZip
I've misplaced my schedule. Are the EMU and WMU games home or away? Here you go ZM. No need to worry about misplacing your NIU schedule again. Glad to help but I won't be able to do anything for you if you misplace your computer. To save you time both the EMU and WMU games are home games and I'll bet no team in the top 25 other than NIU has played 5 of their first seven games on the road. The Zips are the only non FCS team that NIU has played at home (I tied it back to the Zips so that you wouldn't think you had accidentally stumbled onto the NIU board that just happened to be using Zips colors). MDZip
Thank you. Do you have their rifle team schedule? Sorry to disappoint you man, they don't have one - and before you ask, no swiming or diving team either.
