I also think that sometimes it is important to note especially in the 2nd there were more unforced turnovers than I have seen in a single game. I think you are looking for a scapegoat if you blame a goalkeeper for the passing inside of the attacking positions. I understand that his distribution is not that of Pina, but look at the saves Fenlason made last night some top class saves including the double save and the breakaway saves. I think sometimes that we forget (since we are used to pushing forward and maintaining the ball a majority of the time) that a goalkeeper’s first job is to make saves not pass the ball out of the back.

So that shot in the first half that everyone thought was a goal? Yeah, pic proves it should of been goal #3

I hate these officials

Now THAT is a weird sort of photo! Someone explain how both goalkeepers got in the play! The IU keeper is laying in the net -- hoping that he can knock the ball back out before the ref and AR see it cross the line. Then there's an Akron field player standing along the goal line (blocking the AR's view?), and finally, what I assume is Akron's Fenlason running in toward the goal. Was this at the halftime whistle -- or what in the heck was our keeper doing in the opposite penalty area?

No, no, no.

Lying on his back in the goal is a Hoosier defender. Beaten Hoosier GK is the one running back toward goal.

Coach your kids to always clear the ball from your own goal As Soon As Possible, regardless whether it is in or not. :nono: You never know.

I tried to post this a few days ago but the mods would not allow it. We'll see if they post it this time. With the Zips out of the tournament now this all doesn't matter but I want to post it anyway.

The picture proves nothing. From the angle that the picture is taken at I see nothing that indicates the ball is completely over the line. Anybody that says they see a space between the post and the ball should get an eye appointment. Remember, if even .01% of the ball is still on the line and the other 99.99% of the ball is over the line and in the goal, it is not a goal. There is no way that the AR, from his position could have been able to determine it either even though he is in a great position. If Brenes hadn't been in the position he is in I doubt that the AR still would have awarded the goal. The other thing is that is a static picture. Did the ball advance any further into the goal or is that the extent of it?
