I'm hoping his weight is closer to the 290 listed on his high school roster.

Yep. Lord only knows how impossible it is to get an additional 30 lbs on a 17 year old, 6' 5", 265lb kid by the time he's 19. Tank would have his work cut out for him.

Leon Videos

He certainly dwarfed anyone he opposed.

I noticed on his video that he has gained an inch and lost 10 pounds. I hope he is not bulimic.

Watching the video, I was unsure if I was watching football or a farming special because he planted so many guys.

Shows promise as a pulling guard/pulling tackle.

Might consider playing this guy as a blocking fullback. That would be scarey.

Compared to any position on a college football team, an offensive lineman can be NR or ranked as 2* and develop into a top caliber starter. This guy has a good frame and the coaches must see something else they like about him like speed, footwork, smarts, etc... I too trust in Arrington.

I'm a bit surprised I have not heard yet (informally) that Akron is going after 5* running back Brionte Dunn from OSU. He's in Meyer's dog house and he is from Canton (GlenOak). Tressel also recruited him. He'd look pretty good as an Akron back in 2015.

From the Sept. 4 Columbus Dispatch, it appears that all Bri'onte has to do to get out of the doghouse is to volunteer for special teams duty:

... “You don’t need your uncle calling, you don’t need anybody calling,” Meyer said. “You just need to go get on a special team, then all of a sudden you find yourself playing.”

The reverse apparently is true, too. Sophomore Bri’onte Dunn was thought to be the second- or third-team running back last week going into the opener against Buffalo. But he wasn’t one of the four backs who played, because he didn’t jump at trying to make a special team.

“That has to happen,” Meyer said, if Dunn intends to play. ...

He is RS. He is not in the doghouse. He lacks blocking skills. He is a big back in the mode of Hyde.

He loves it there. If he transfers it will be because he was passed over by a great Freshman in E. Elliott.

His time will come. Hyde is graduating and Brionte will only be a Soph.
