Dr Z
Here are a few images from Friday's nights game. Enjoy. Ten more images from Phil Masturzo can be found here. I love the fourth photo!
skip-zip
Wouldn't you figure the Beacon could get everything right? Our hometown newspaper with the two hometown teams playing? In the one photo, they call the Ken+ State guy wearing #2.."Kwan Cheatham."Wrong team guys. Glad you folks over at OUR newspaper pay attention to the local, major colleges. If you have to fake it and look at rosters to identify players, can you at least be looking at the right team's roster?
Balsy
@Skip-Zip Most of them even went to Can't State...so that's DOUBLE the embarrassment!
Dave in Green
I like the BJ's 3rd photo, which captures the technique used by the Flushes to out-rebound the Zips. I guess if this isn't clear enough for the refs to call, maybe the Zips could go to tear-away jerseys to make it a little more obvious. Dr Z
FYI The new software doesn't seem to effect using "ken+" in links (see above links in first post of this thread). The old software subbed "can't" in the http address, so you would get an error.Although I'm guilty of it too, it always amazes me how many people in the crowd are looking at their cell phones during sporting events. I wonder in ten years if this will seem more ridiculous, or less? To ZN credit, the members I recognize in my photos typically are not looking at their phones. Dave in Green
@Dr Z, I'm sure you'd never guess this about me, but I primarily use my cell phone during Zips games to check live stats to see if they correlate with what I think I'm seeing on the court. The only other thing I check during timeouts and halftime are other MAC scores that may affect the Zips. So at Zips games my cell phone doesn't take away from my 100% focus on the Zips. zippy5
Nice pics, thanks for sharing. Wasn't able to make it, so nice to see some things I couldn't in TV. Tree is locked in on the 4th picture you mentioned!
johnnyzip84
Excellent pics, Dr Z! Thanks for posting them. I'm glad I wasn't looking at my cell phone in any of these shots - of course, it helps when the only cell phone you own is a flip phone without a camera that your adult children affectionately deem the "jitterbug" It looks like you were able to take them from several different angles. That gives the viewer a nice perspective of the overall game.
