lance99
I don't see how that first quearter could have gone any worse. We let Marshall run up 200 fricken yards in one quarter. Penn State would eat Marshall for lunch. That is what I can't understand. They havr showed me basically nothing.
zippy_ua_00
I should say Tds. Now we gotta pin them deep and hold them to a 3 and out
Flashes98
Marshall is on a different level than Akron.

ZippyRulz
Really slow start. Hope the Zips haven't regressed.Back to unwatchable...at least for today.

Dave in Green
Marshall came well prepared, but they didn't have to based on the way the Zips are playing. Zips can still be a good MAC team with even a small improvement over today's play.

K92
Beyond pathetic. Going to the car. Terrible defensive game plan and our offense is non existent. Marshall is not that good. We are this bad. Punt it!

you am i
Ugly. Sloppy. Ianello-esque. Not what anyone expected after last year's progress. I expect that Terry will not sugarcoat things at his post-game press conference. That was what killed me about Ianello; after each blowout loss, and there were many, he'd point out the "positives." Bowden is a good coach. This team will regroup.
Balsy
There was an Ianello sighting on the sidelines of Akron today.
Balsy
I absolutely hate losing. I'm in a terrible mood. It is a beautiful day, and this is what I have to spend it watching. I'm sorry, I'm the biggest supporter of Bowden, but this loss is absolutely unacceptable. The loss to marshall isn't unacceptable...a blow-out loss is.-You had two weeks to prepare for this game. -You're at home in front of what will likely be the best crowd all season-You're at home on a beautiful day.-When you're down 17-0...3 points doesn't do anything for you.-When you get in the redzone, coming away with anything less than 3 points should be unacceptable.-Getting into the redzone twice and coming away with 0 points is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.-This isn't Tennessee, Michigan or Ohio State. It's freakin Marshall. As for the team:-Wr's need to catch the ball.-RB's...hold on to the darn ball.-OL... you really need to get it together. It is absolutely unacceptable to have a 2 man rush sack your QB.I really thought we were past these blow-outs.

For this game, IMO:I agree with you 100%, however:-Lawrence needs time-WR's do need to catch the ball-Defense need to do something(I know that they are tired, see below)-Stop quitting in games/plays-Offense needs to control the ball!-Fans need to show. I was not going to post that part, but I was at the game and it look liked 4,000 Marshall fans showed up! That in itself is an embarrassment!-As far as the fans there, they need to STOP sitting on their hands. Sounds like a no brainier, but the Herd fans were very vocal. There is no excuse that their fans are making these kind of post right now. NONE.The Zips are way, way better than this and we all know it!
K92
There will be about 713 people at the next home game.
Buckzip
Marshall is not that good and we made them look like a top 10 team. This is why we can't get anyone at home games.
Balsy
I know our crowd was quiet, but there wasn't absolutely nothing to cheer for. I'm one of the loudest, yelling all the time fans and I was speechless. First drive...punt. They drive and score. Second drive, good play followed by a fumble. Marshall drives and scores. We get the ball, three-and-out, marshall gets the ball and scores. We get the ball and throw an interception. Marshall takes the turnover and scores yet again. We later get two redzone trips that end in zero points. This was a case study of "How to take the crowd out of the game". I'm sorry, but I can't fault any fans for being quiet at this game. Of course the marshall fans are going to be louder than us, WTF do we have to cheer for?
